Grounded wine lover Yes, I love wine. I have worked in the wine industry. I know varietals from around the world better than the average wine drinker. I'm even particular about what I buy & drink. I'M ALSO GROUNDED. No pretensions here. Like everything else for me, wine is something I enjoy and because there are many types, I know what I like. That's where my passion comes from.

I live in NYC, so I'm looking for someone local. I enjoy dates at real wine bars (those with more than 10 varietals on the list, and some lesser known ones). At the same time, sometimes a good sparkling wine in a Govino glass on the roof while watching fire works is just as enjoyable.

I'd really love to travel to international wine countries. This is a really strong interest of mine -- it is in my bucket list. Spain and Italy would be great, and so would lesser known parts of French and Australian wine countries. The lesser known, the better! I want to taste and discover something we don't have imported here. It is half the fun!

I have traveled before and some of my personal culture has adopted the politeness of other cultures. At work, with those in the service industry, and in general. Yes I'm an American & a NYer, but that doesn't define me completely.

I am 50% introvert and 50% extravert. I tend to be a little self-contained, and not put everything out there for you. I'm not a complete mystery, but I'm not an open book either. Those who are bold enough to just ask me something are more successful with me than those who wait for me to reveal everything. Also, if you're good at reading people, then you're a good match. I just know this from experience. Intuitive men are also a better match for me.
