Yakima Valley wines are superb and Chateau Ste. Michelle is the foudation of one of my favorite stories.
It was new Year's Eve, and I've always celebrated with frineds and three bottles of Champagne after years of cheap bubbly, and you know what I'm talking about, I decided we all deserved better.
While looking over various brands I spotted Domaine Ste Michelle. Any relation to Chateau? I had no clue. I turned to see an old hockey buddy, Jeff, approacing me waring a Snapple Jacket (can I say that here?)
He said, "That's what you want".
"I'd believe you, Jeff, but you're wearing a 'Snapple' Jacket".
"It goes with the job. I work for the distributor."
I bought the champagne and I've never drifited away from one of the finest bubblies I've evrhad. It beats some $100.00 bottles I've had.
